Alberta Bass Community presents:

Phantoms Of The Underground 2

Sullivan King

Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist/producer and solidified guitar god Sullivan King is shattering the mold and disrupting the electronic world—one lick at a time. Lifting the brash and rugged energy of bass music off the dance floors and the power of metal and hard rock from the stadiums, Sullivan King creates a musical mosh pit built entirely on rapid-paced, neck-snapping dubstep, intensely shredding guitars and a bold live show that pushes the boundaries of modern music performance. With recent releases on Excision’s label Rottun Recordings and Montreal’s bass staple Kannibalen Records, Sully is paving his own path as he pioneers this metal-EDM hybrid sound.

Aweminus (Never Say Die, Circus Records, Disciple, Firepower Records, Rottun Recordings)

Born in Las Vegas and currently residing in Southern California, Aweminus (pronounced ominous) has manifested into one of the most promising emerging artists in bass music. Since late 2012, his unique take on dubstep and drum and bass has garnered the support of artists such as Excision, Datsik, 12th Planet, Funtcase, Skism and more. By the time he turned 22 earlier this year, Aweminus had played multiple events across Europe, toured Australia twice, and performed on some of the largeststages for bass music in the world.

Aweminus aka Brandon Famini first became known within the dubstep community after promotional clips of his early productions, “Viper” and “The Beast” began circulating on Youtube in early 2012. At 16 he was named a winner of Getter’s “Fallout” Remix Competition, leading to his first label release on the official remix EP for Firepower Records. Brandon’s momentum began to build in 2014 after the release of his “G-Bus” EP on Dub Rebellion’s Octane Audio imprint as well as a feature on Excision’s Shambhala compilation for the VIP of his original track “IJDGAF”. Aweminus joined the ranks of the Savage Society Records crew in 2015 with the release of his “Mans on Road” EP, which he followed up with the 6-track “Dead Simple” EP [Calypso], showcasing his knack for Drum & Bass production. Later that year, the hit collaboration with his good friend Phiso titled “Sheer Cold” dropped on Skism’s Black Label XL 2. In 2016, Aweminus released “916” on Uplink Audio’s “Dispersion” Vol.1 followed by a handful of collaborations with Definitive which were split between the “Terror Wave” EP [SVG] and singles via Artist Intelligence Agency. 2017 has been a breakout year - Brandon unleashed his “Short Fuse” EP on NSD: Black Label, another DnB EP titled “The Wabbit Hole” this time on Dub Damage Recordings, a single on Disciple’s Round Table Compilation, and collaborations on Funtcase’s DPMO Vol.1 [Circus Records],

Savage Society, and Crooked Beatz Recordings. With an immense catalogue and years of touring experience under his belt, its safe to say Aweminus has a bright future - and you can expect much more from him in 2018.

Thalamus (Bass Cavalry, Memphis Tennessee)

Thalamus produces and DJs a diverse collection of deep bass music fusing southern US hip-hop, UK-style dubstep, drum and bass (liquid and deep), and occasionally dark glitch hop. This music is designed to make both the dance floor and your brain move beautifully in chaos.
